ok listen。。。 the third act “break up” was absolute trash and made me go 😐but JLA did something at the end that most authors are afraid to do so she gets points for that。 & the reveal about who the Harbinger is had me gasp so more points for that Otherwise same feelings as book 1。 Also this book made it really obvious how。。。 Peanut as a character should just be cut。 He’s done nothing for the series。 And I still feel like these characters are very flat but eh I’m at least enjoying my time reading

These second books in trilogies seem to follow the same pattern of having obstacles that keep the two love interests apart and I find myself just trying to get through it to the inevitable reunion。 I was ready to be done with this series but then the ending came as a bit of a surprise so might just have to see what happens in the third book。

Una segunda parte sensacional。 La historia se vuelve más misteriosa y fantasiosa， y tiene giros increíbles。 Es verdad que tras el primer tercio del libro me quedé atascada， no por nada concreto la verdad， así que después de un tiempo lo cogí con ganas de nuevo y el ritmo hasta el final fue ya trepidante。 Tanto que lo he terminando amando， igual que a Zayne y ese final de infarto y revelaciones que OMG。 Historia 100% Armentrout。 El siguiente va a ser apocalíptico。

First things first， I didn't see that cliffhanger coming， I knew somethings was going to bring him back because of course， but not in that way。 I already started the last book in the series， because of that。 I noticed that the catch up at every beginning of her books kind of take me out of the story， maybe because I'm reading them back to back， maybe because it doesn't really flow well with the story but either way It takes me a bit to get into it。 This book was a bit better then the Dark elemen First things first， I didn't see that cliffhanger coming， I knew somethings was going to bring him back because of course， but not in that way。 I already started the last book in the series， because of that。 I noticed that the catch up at every beginning of her books kind of take me out of the story， maybe because I'm reading them back to back， maybe because it doesn't really flow well with the story but either way It takes me a bit to get into it。 This book was a bit better then the Dark elements series， again you really can see the improvement/ develepment of her writng。 Anyway I really liked the whole mistery/hunting/slow burn vibe we had going on this book。 It felt as a tv show and all the pop culture reference just added to everything。 This book feels way heavier then the first one， which make complety sense。 She just killed her best friend who turns out to be evil mastermind behind her mothers death。 She is dealing with loss， the pressure of saving hte world， her feelings for zayne and how she can't act on them， the truth about her bond and what was suppose to happen。 And then of course the whole zayne realationship thing， how she doesn't really know him， how they stuck togheter for ever now， the jelousy， the hurt， the loning， the happiness。 I just love how Jennifer writes these things， I was so into the book， the story and the characters that I could feel the hurt and shame and eveyrthing inbetween comming of the pages。 The big fight with Zayne had me feeling like crap for a hot second， that one came a bit to close for comfort。 I loved that it was a slow burn romance， how it developet and all that。 I just wish we had a bit more time and resolve after the big fight。 I knew things were more important， like her getting hurt， the whole true born stuff and all that。 But I wanted them to talk about it， because that scene was so vivid and real in my mind， they both hurt eachother and i just wanted a bit more of a brigde between that and hooking up。 Anyway trinity was somethims a bit annoying， zayne was a bit to closed off somthimes and Roth was perfect as always。 The plot is slow and its more character based then plotwise， but its still going strong and i'm really invested。 I appriceted that the main lead died this time， because most of the time its the female lead who dies and come back in a weird way。 So thats really fun to see， I can't wait to read how it plays out （I already started the next book so i'm finding allot of stuff out） But I'm so scared and extided to end this series， I really hope that nobody of the clan or our little demon friends dies， I will cry if that happens。 Overall a strong second book， a bit slow， filled with character building and struggles and all that juicy stuff， feels like a supernatural episode for some reason， Roth is the best character ever， slow burn and a cliffhanger that i didn't saw comming。 Rating: 4。5 stars 。。。more

middle book in series， skip it aside from the last two chapters。7 year olds could pick better strategies。 I lost track out how many times I shouted at characters to just do what they said they were going to do or take obvious steps。 How can a person who can jump 45 between building be unable to escape a 10 foot pit？ Because the author said so。
